Schedule of Fees (June 2007)

Rates:

Report/preparation/inspection/conference time
£160 per hour
Travel by motor car
£120 per hour
Travel by public transport
£ 90 per hour
Court attendance (exclusive of travel time)
£1000 per day
Expenses (travel fares, hotels, etc.)
- at cost

Examples of typical inclusive ranges (depending on volume of documentation, distance and complexity of inspections etc) are as follows:

Preliminary case report
£300 - £500
Report on case material
£700 - £2000
Report with site visit
£900 - £2750

A single joint expert report will be charged 50:50 between Claimant and Defendant solicitors (unless advised otherwise).

Additional charges for routine correspondence and telephone are not normally made, but items such as films and photocopies are chargeable.
Answering written questions, discussions between experts, letters of comment, and revisions to reports in the light of further evidence etc are charged at the hourly rate of £160.

Cancellation charges are applied for late cancellation of court and inspection bookings as follows:
Up to 2 working days @ 70%; 3-7 working days @ 50%; 8-14 working days @ 35%

Invoicing is at completion of each element of the case. Settlement due 28th of the month following.
